Sarah tells a story about her little boy who decided to make a very early appearance when he was 25 weeks and 6 days gestation.

My little boy Rory decided to make a very early appearance when he was 25 weeks and 6 days gestation.

My waters unexpectedly went at 24 weeks after a very uneventful pregnancy.

Rory spent 93 days, in 3 different hospitals with 6 ambulance rides. Our NICU journey was very up and down, with Rory having various complications including a bowel operation. However, due to the amazing NHS care we received for Rory and the support we received from charities such as Tiny Lives, Leo’s, and Neoangels our gorgeous boy made it home and continues to thrive.

Whilst staying at hospitals such as the RVI we were also able to stay at hospital accommodation with Rory’s older brother so that we could all be together as a family which made such a difference to us.
